Welcome to "la Acequia", a short
55 Km from Barinas along the main road to San Cristóbal. The district
capital "Pedraza also Ciudad Bolivia" self-proclaimed itself as the capital
of Venezuelan rivers.

The Andean foothills offer
a very privileged climate of 25 to 35 celsius daily - nights are slightly
fresher and very nice. The vicinity of the highest mountains (5000 meters)
and on the other side the endless plains of "los llanos" make the landscapes
and variety of vegetations very attractive. Wild tropical forest, endless
grass savannahs, small hills with palm trees and snow covered Andean peaks
in the background.
Our Arassari Trek Adventure
camp is situated at 3 Km along the road to Caño Grande.
Coming from Barinas one passes the metal bridge over the Acequia
river and just before the police checkpoint turns right and drives up aprox.
10 min./ 3 km of dirt road (in very good conditions). After passing the
third concrete creek passage, on the first short downhill drive you will
see a black water tank with our company logo (the sun of Bum Bum) in red
and yellow. Enter and park your car on the hill.
The camp offers peace, nature,
sun, water and many options to keep yourself active. It counts with a restaurant
for 50 to 60 persons, camping zone, 4 cabañas/ chalets with beds
and space to sling up a hammock if you prefer so. The camp counts with
8 showers and 8 bathrooms, the first cabana has 2 matrimonial rooms plus
2 extra beds, the second, third and fourth cabana are multiple dorms with
a capacity for 7 to 10 persons, the natural swimming pool down at the Acequia
river is a great place to take a swim and is a fantastic kayaking and inflatable
boats play- and learn ground. For the sportsman there is excellent mountain
biking terrain all around...we also have some bikes to rent right at the
spot. All around the campground there is cultivations of tea, fruit trees
and vegetables. Soon we'll have our Ping Pong tables and beach volley ball
installed too. For the rainy days we have family games, cards and chess
games to play indoor.
