Just a couple of hours away from Merida you find several cave systems. In 2 or 3 days we have time enough to get you "down and dirty in dark beauty". 

Expect to see stalagmites and stalactites, spiders, blind fishes, tropical fruit bats and vampire bats and maybe even some undiscovered fossiles or other strange endemic creatures. 

The caves are rarely visited and barely explored to the end (if they are). The area where they are is remote and inside at  many places access from one to another hall is very narrow and difficult. Reasonably good physical conditions are enough - but this trip is only for skinny people who love to roll in the mud, batshit and water, enjoy good company and are not afraid of the dark 
At times you might feel like in the stomach of "Alien".
We will spend several hours sumerged from day light (around 3 to 5 hours in the caves over 2 days)...but there is great beautiful landscapes outside too.

Sleeping conditions are rustical posadas, at farmers houses or camping out.

What to bring:
Dirty clothes and good shoes...sense for fun & adventure.
We supply waterproof headlamps, helmets, ropes and harness, glow sticks and overalls if you need them. As well as sleeping bags and pads to sleep on.
