RÍvers:
The " Acequias" is a class 3, good flow and waves and excellent
places to play with the rafts and rapids with small drops. Duration aprox.
1
hour.
Siniguis, is a class
4 to 5 with many technical rapids, exciting drops and a total of almost
200 alti meters descend in a short stretch. Duration aprox. 3 to 4 hours.
Who...
Anybody older than 14 years old can team up ( only 1 or max. 2 14 years
old per boat allowed with signed consent of their parents).
Where
... The best Rafting rivers of Venezuela
are in the foothills of the andes. Our Arassari Trek adventure camp is
on the shore of the Acequias river 55 kilometers away from Barinas. The
other rivers we raft are the Canagua (lower and upper), Siniguis
and Sto. Domingo.
What
to bring...
- Be prepared for a hot
and wet climate. Ambient temperature is usually around 26 to 38 centígrades.At
night it can be fresh and sometimes even cool. (enough to bring a sweater
too and rain gear.)
- Sandals that tigh up well
to your feet or light tennis shoes are compulsory to enter the rafts and
will get wet.
- Swimming costume or Shorts
without metal gadgets.
- Sun cream/block and a
baseball hat are equally recommended to bring.
- If you wear glasses bring
a string to tigh them up around yyour head and helmet or change them for
some contact lenses.
The outfitter Arassari Trek
provides all helmets, rafting swimming vests, paddles and all other rafting
material.
Other
recommendations ... If you suffer
from health problems (e.g. heart problems etc.) or others (non swimmers)
relevant to rafting please inform your rafting guide before the beginning
of the trip.

: We always try to do the best possible
and have our clients 100% satisfied. Sometimes nature and it's conditions
can affect our tours and change favorable conditions to dangerous. (e.g.
floods, excess of rain etc.) We reserve the right to change or cancel the
rivers advertised in such special occasions.
The 3 days 3 thrills tour
includes a long and exciting descent of the upper Canagua river !! Rafting
can be combined with several other tours such as the 4 days llanos, condor
to crocodile trek and some horseback riding or mountainbiking in the foothills.
We also offer expert guided
tours climbing the highest mountains, trekking, horseback riding, kayaking,
canyoning, paragliding, mountain biking, bridge jumping, and bio
tourism and eco adventures.
