Paramo de los Conejos y Cara del Indio
( 3days/ 2 nights Multiadventure)

Highlights include: cloud forest, the highest caves of Venezuela, virgin mountain lakes, paramo landscapes, mule ride and M-bike ride at almost 4000 meters.

Day 1: Departure by car at around 7 am. Our mules and horses are waiting for us at Manzano alto. After loading and charging a steep uphill trail leads us into cloud forest very fast. We continue and reach the highlands (paramo) above 3000 meters. Picnic and ride on to the highest living community of Venezuela...Las Gonzalez.(3700 m) Overnight in a basic mountain hut in bed.

Day 2:  Breakfast and start of our hike to the highest caves of Venezuela and beautiful virgin mountain lakes (Los Puentes, La Iglesia). There is flowing water in the cave and big trout in the lakes....mmmmhhh. We return after hiking and caving the whole day to our refuge at the end of the day.

Day 3: Breakfast and start of our hike/cycle towards the colonial village of Jaji. Somewhere along the dirt road we will meet our 4x4 vehicle with the mountain bikes on top. Almost 20 kilometers of mainly downhill dirt road cycling before we reach Las Cruces. If you enjoy cycling you can continue on all the way back to Merida which is another 40 km (mainly downhill !) away.
 

Optional: if you like to spend more time in the mountains you can easily add 1 or 2 extra days to climb Pico Campanario or hike to other mountain lakes nearby.
